Employee Availability Updates: Temporary Availability

We've made some great improvements to how employee availability works in BarSight!



Temporary Availability


Employees can now set temporary availability directly from the app. This is perfect for short-term schedule changes—vacations, appointments, or any period where your regular availability doesn't apply. Just set a date range and your adjusted hours, and the system handles the rest.



Smarter Scheduling Dropdown


When assigning employees to shifts, the availability dropdown now shows more accurate information. We've also added helpful tooltips that explain exactly why an employee appears in a particular category—whether they're unavailable, on vacation, or already working another shift.



These updates are live now. Managers will notice the improved dropdown right away, and employees can find temporary availability in My Account → Availability in the app.
