Transfer Beer from Production Tanks to Taproom Serving Vessels

Transfer Beer from Production Tanks to Taproom Serving Vessels

The Problem

Your batch is conditioning in the tank and won't be ready for a full canning run for another week. But your taproom is running low on that beer and customers are asking for it. Do you really have to wait until the entire batch is ready? You'd love to start serving fresh beer now while keeping the rest for packaging later.

The Solution

Partial tank transfers let you move just the volume you need from your production tank into serving vessels for immediate taproom sales. The rest of the batch stays in the tank, continues conditioning, and remains available for your planned canning run. Maximize revenue by selling beer as soon as it's ready without disrupting your packaging schedule.

How to Use It

  1. Open the batch that's currently in a production tank
  2. Click Operations in the toolbar
  3. Select Transfer Volume
  4. Enter the transfer details:
    • Volume to Transfer: Amount moving to taproom (e.g., 50L)
    • Destination: Select your serving vessel or taproom keg
    • Date: When the transfer happens
  5. Click Complete Transfer

The transferred volume moves to your taproom inventory immediately, while the remaining batch volume stays in the production tank for future packaging.

Pro Tip

Use partial transfers strategically during busy weekends or special events when you need fresh beer fast. You can transfer multiple times from the same batch—just track your remaining volume carefully to ensure you have enough for your planned packaging run.
