Quick Posting Hours from Punch Data

The Problem

You have a team of 15 employees and need to post everyone's hours before payroll runs. Manually entering start times, end times, and breaks for each person takes forever. There has to be a faster way.

The Solution

When employees use the BarSight Punch Clock, their times are captured automatically. The Post Hours screen shows you punch data side-by-side with scheduled times, so you can review and approve shifts in seconds—not minutes.

How to Quick Post

  1. Navigate to Schedule → Post Hours
  2. Click on the date you want to post
  3. Find employees with Ready To Post status (blue)
  4. Click on their row to open the posting form
  5. Review the Timeclock Summary on the right (punch times, breaks, tips)
  6. Click Post Shift Hours to approve

Understanding the Form

  • Left side — Payroll hours you're about to post (editable)
  • Right side — Actual punch data from the app (reference)
  • Times are pre-filled from punches, but you can adjust if needed

Pro Tip

Set your location to Use Punched Hours as the default (in Settings → Location). This pre-fills the posting form with actual punch times instead of scheduled times, saving you even more clicks.
