Shift Availability Times Now Show Employee Counts
One powerful feature at a time.
Shift Availability Times Now Show Employee Counts
The Problem
You want to adjust the times for a shift type like "Day Shift" or "Night Shift" in your location settings, but you're not sure how many employees are currently using that shift for their availability. Will changing the times break everyone's availability records?
The Solution
BarSight now shows you exactly how many employees are using each shift availability type, right on the settings page. And when you change a shift's times, every employee using those old times gets automatically updated to the new times.
What You'll See
Each shift row in your location settings now displays a Using column showing the employee count. For example, "12 employees" means twelve of your team members have that shift selected as their availability for at least one day of the week.
How to Use It
- Go to Settings → Locations
- Edit your location
- Scroll to Shift Availability under the Employees section
- Review the Using count next to each shift type
- Adjust the start or end time as needed
- Save — all affected employee availability records update automatically

Pro Tip
Only approved and pending availability records are updated when you change shift times. Older historical records are left untouched, so your audit trail stays intact.
