Create Quick Tasks to Assign Work on the Fly
The Problem
You're in the middle of a busy shift and notice something needs to be done right now. "Hey Karen, can you restock the bar?" You could create a full task list with all the bells and whistles, but that takes too long when you just need a simple assignment. You need a faster way to delegate on the spot.

Quick Tasks let you create instant, single-employee assignments in seconds. No checklist items, no complex settings—just describe what needs to be done, pick who should do it, and you're done. Perfect for those "fix it now" moments.
How to Use It
- Navigate to Schedule → Tasks → Calendar
- Click the + Quick Task button
- Fill in three simple fields:
- Task: Brief description (e.g., "Restock bar supplies")
- Date: When it should be done (defaults to today)
- Employee: Who should do it (start typing their name)
- Click Create Quick Task
The task immediately appears in the employee's task list. They mark it complete when done—simple as that.

Pro Tip
Quick Tasks are perfect for one-off assignments, but if you're creating the same task repeatedly, consider setting up a repeating task list instead. Save yourself even more time!
