Set Up Repeating Tasks So You Don't Have to Recreate Them Daily
The Problem
Every single morning, you create the same opening checklist. Every Friday, you create the same deep-clean task. Every month on the 15th, you create the same inventory count assignment. You're spending hours each week recreating the exact same tasks over and over. Your time is worth more than this.
The Solution
Repeating tasks let you set up a task once with a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, or custom patterns), and BarSight automatically creates it for you on the right dates. Create it once, and it appears like clockwork—no more manual recreation.
How to Use It
- When creating a task list, select Repeating under Task Schedule
- Choose your Start Date (when the task should begin)
- Select the Repeat Type:
- Daily - Every single day (e.g., "Daily Opening Checklist")
- Weekly - Every 7 days from start date (e.g., "Friday Deep Clean")
- Monthly - Same day each month (e.g., "15th of every month")
- Positional - Patterns like "2nd Tuesday of every month"
- Set Duration (leave at 0 for unlimited, or enter a number to limit occurrences)
- Save the task
The task will automatically appear for assigned employees on every scheduled date. Set it and forget it!

Pro Tip
Use the duration limit for temporary repeating tasks. For example, set a training checklist to repeat daily for 30 days during a new employee's onboarding period. After 30 occurrences, it stops automatically.
Learn More
Repeating tasks work perfectly with role-based assignment—assign to a role once and it repeats forever. Also check out how to edit repeating task templates when you need to update them.
