VIP Members: Build Your Loyalty List

The VIP Members feature lets you collect and manage customer information through a signup form on your website. Whether you call it a VIP list, Founders Club, Mug Club, or loyalty program, BarSight makes it easy to build a list of your most loyal customers, track their contact details, and export your list anytime for marketing campaigns or special events.

What You Can Do

  • Add a signup widget to your website with a simple embed code
  • Collect customer names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses
  • Automatically add VIP members to your newsletter list
  • Manually add VIP members from in-person signups
  • Export your entire VIP list to Excel

Adding the VIP Widget to Your Website

The VIP widget is a signup form that you can embed on any page of your website. When customers fill it out, their information flows directly into BarSight.

Step 1: Get Your Widget Code

  1. Navigate to Guests → VIP Members
  2. Click the Get Widget button in the toolbar
  3. Copy the embed code displayed in the popup

Exporting Your VIP List

Export your entire VIP list to Excel for email marketing, mail campaigns, or backup purposes.

  1. Go to Reports → Guests → VIP Members
  2. Click Export in the toolbar
  3. Choose Excel to download a spreadsheet

The export includes: ID, First Name, Last Name, Email, Address, City, Province, Postal Code, Country, Newsletter Subscriber status, and Signup Date.

VIP + Newsletter Integration

When you check the Newsletter box for a VIP member (or when a customer checks it on the widget), they're automatically added to your Newsletter Subscribers list too. This keeps both lists in sync:

  • Check the box → member added to newsletter list
  • Uncheck the box → member removed from newsletter list
  • The newsletter record links back to their VIP profile

Tips and Best Practices

  • Promote your membership - Add the widget to your homepage, contact page, or create a dedicated "Join Our Mug Club" or "Founders Club" page
  • Offer an incentive - Mention perks like early access to new releases, member-only discounts, or exclusive event invitations
  • Use the filter - Click Filter Members to search by name, email, or location
  • Regular exports - Export your list monthly to keep a backup and feed your email marketing platform
