Custom UOMs: Create Your Own Units Like '6-Pack' or '5kg Bag'

The Problem

Your vendor sells olive oil in 6-packs and flour in 25kg bags, but BarSight's standard units don't match how you actually buy and count these items. You're stuck doing mental math every time.

The Solution

Create custom UOMs that match exactly how your vendors package products. Define a "6-Pack (1L)" that equals 6 liters, or a "25kg Bag" that converts properly - then use them throughout the system.

How to Use It

1. Navigate to Kitchen → Settings
2. Find the Units of Measure section
3. Click Add UOM
4. Enter a Title (e.g., "6-Pack 1L Bottles")
5. Select the Type and link to a system UOM
6. Define the conversion factor
7. Click Save

Pro Tip

You can also create custom UOMs directly from the inventory item form - click Add Custom UOM in the header while editing an item.
