Booking Request States Explained
The Problem
You've got booking inquiries coming in, but it's hard to track where each one stands. Is this one waiting for a response? Did that customer ever get back to you? Which bookings are actually confirmed?
The Solution
BarSight uses booking states to track each inquiry through your workflow. At a glance, you can see exactly where every booking stands—from first contact to confirmed event.
The Booking States
- Inquiry - Customer just submitted a request. Ball's in your court.
- Responded - You've replied. Waiting for their response.
- In Progress - Actively discussing details, dates, or pricing.
- Confirmed - It's official! Event is locked in.
- MIA - Customer ghosted. Might need a follow-up nudge.
- Cancelled - Event was called off.
How to Update a Booking State
- Navigate to Schedule → Events
- Click on the booking to open it
- Find the Booking State dropdown
- Select the new state
- Click Save

Pro Tip
Filter your events list by state to focus on what needs attention. Tackle all "Inquiry" bookings first thing in the morning to keep response times fast.
