Storage Locations: Track Where Every Item Lives
The Problem
New staff can't find ingredients. Items get stored in the wrong place. Nobody knows if that flour is in the pantry or the walk-in. You need a way to document where everything belongs.
The Solution
Assign Storage Locations to each inventory item. Staff can quickly see where items should be stored, and you can even assign multiple locations for items that live in more than one spot.
How to Use It
- Navigate to Kitchen → Inventory
- Click on an inventory item
- Find the Storage Location field in the Setup section
- Select existing locations or type a new name to create one
- Select multiple locations if the item is stored in different areas
- Click Save

Pro Tip
Create storage locations that match your physical layout: "Walk-in Cooler", "Dry Storage", "Prep Station", "Freezer". New locations can be created on-the-fly right in the dropdown.
