Case Pricing: Track Bulk Discounts from Vendors
One powerful feature at a time.
Case Pricing: Track Bulk Discounts from Vendors
The Problem
Your vendor charges $8.50 per bottle, but a case of 12 is only $90. You want to track these bulk discounts, but there's no obvious place to record case pricing that differs from the unit price.
The Solution
Vendor Definitions include Case Pricing fields. Enter the case quantity and case price, and BarSight tracks the discount. You'll see the true cost when ordering in bulk.
How to Use It
- Navigate to Kitchen → Inventory and open an item
- In Vendor Definitions, click to edit or add a vendor
- In the Case Setup section, enter the Case Qty (e.g., 12)
- Enter the Case Price (e.g., $90.00)
- Click Save

Pro Tip
Case pricing is optional - leave it blank if the vendor doesn't offer bulk discounts. The unit price will be used for all calculations.
