Recipe Availability: Hide Seasonal Items Without Deleting Them
The Problem
Your pumpkin spice latte is only available in fall, but you don't want to delete the recipe and lose all that data. You need a way to hide it from ordering without destroying the recipe.
The Solution
Toggle the Available checkbox off. The recipe stays in your system with all its ingredients and cost data, but it disappears from order forms. Turn it back on when the season returns.
How to Use It
- Open the recipe in Kitchen → Recipes
- Find the Available checkbox
- Uncheck it to hide the recipe from ordering
- Click Save
- Check it again when you want to bring it back

Pro Tip
Use this for limited-time offers, test items, and seasonal specials. Your historical data stays intact for reporting, but staff can't accidentally order unavailable items.
