Vendor SKUs: Keep Track of Every Suppliers Product Codes

One powerful feature at a time.

Vendor SKUs: Keep Track of Every Supplier's Product Codes

The Problem

Vendor A calls it "AP-FLR-25KG", Vendor B calls it "FLOUR-ALL-25". You call it "All-Purpose Flour". When placing orders, you're constantly looking up the vendor's SKU because everyone uses different codes.

The Solution

Store each vendor's SKU in their vendor definition. When you create purchase orders, the correct vendor SKU is right there - no more hunting through catalogs or old invoices.

How to Use It

  1. Navigate to Kitchen → Inventory and open an item
  2. In Vendor Definitions, click to add or edit a vendor
  3. Enter the SKU - the vendor's product code
  4. Optionally enter the Name - what the vendor calls the product
  5. Click Save

Pro Tip

The vendor "Name" field is optional but helpful when the vendor's catalog uses a different product name than yours. It helps match items when you receive invoices.
