One powerful feature at a time.

See Your Inventory in the Units You Think In

The Problem

Your system tracks malt in pounds, but you buy it by the 25 kg sack and count it by the bag. Looking at a list that says 1,250 lb doesn't tell you whether you need to order more. Ideally the list would speak the same language as the person looking at it.

The Solution

The Inventory Items box now has a three-way unit toggle. Switch your view between the stocked unit, the display unit, or the purchase unit, and every quantity on the page is converted for you. Nothing about your stock changes, only how it is shown.

How to Use It

  1. Go to Brewery → Inventory.
  2. In the header of the Inventory Items box, pick one of the three icons:
    • List icon: each item in its stocked (base) unit.
    • Box icon: each item in its preferred display unit. Items without one set stay in their stocked unit.
    • Ship icon: each item in its packaging or purchase unit, such as bags or cases.
  3. The list reloads with converted quantities.
  4. Open an item and the same toggle appears above its lots, so the lot quantities match.

Your choice is saved to your login, so each person on your team can view inventory the way they prefer. The count, manual stock and transfer screens follow your choice too, so the numbers you type in match the numbers you were just looking at. Display is the default until you pick something else.

Pro Tip

Set a Display Unit on each ingredient (for example, kg for malt and hops) so the middle option is useful. The purchase view is great when you are building an order. The stocked view is best when you are checking against a recipe.
