Creating Mixed Packs and Variety Packs

One powerful feature at a time.

Creating Mixed Packs and Variety Packs

The Problem

You want to create a sampler pack or variety pack that combines different beers into one sellable unit. Maybe it's a "Best Of" 12-pack with three cans each of four different brews, or a mixed case of different styles. The challenge? Those individual cans came from different batches, and you need to track what went into each mixed pack.

The Solution

BarSight's Mixed Product feature lets you combine single-unit packages from different batches into variety packs. You select which products go into the mix, specify quantities, and BarSight handles the inventory—consuming the singles and creating your new mixed pack product.

Before You Start

Mixed packs require single-unit packages already in stock. You can't pull from 6-packs to make a 12-pack sampler. Make sure you've packaged individual cans or bottles first.

How to Create a Mixed Pack

  1. Navigate to Brewery → Final Products
  2. Click New Mixed Product in the toolbar
  3. Select the Product (the variety pack you're creating) and Packaging type
  4. Enter the Qty (how many mixed packs to make) and a Lot Number
  5. Click Select Items to choose which products go into the mix
  6. Enter the quantity of each product per unit (e.g., 3 cans of IPA, 3 cans of Lager)
  7. Click Package New Group to finalize

Pro Tip

The total items you select must equal the container count of your package group. Creating a 12-pack? You need to select exactly 12 individual units across your product choices.
